Another Poll Shows Support Dropping for MA Medical Marijuana

An October constituent calling poll shows support for Question 3, medical marijuana in Massachusetts, at just 54% with 37% opposed and 9% undecided.  In a statewide survey of 761 likely voters, and with a statistical margin of error of +/- 3.48%, this puts Question 3 at essentially even.

This substantial drop from previous polls is corroborated by a Public Policy Polling survey which reported a similar decline to 57% in support for Question 3.

As with most polls about this Question, the deceptive nature of the language of the bill which appeals solely to our compassion for the sick obscures the downsides inherent in the poorly worded proposed law.

Voters have shown that once they become informed they are likely to vote “No” on Question 3.

Additional polls will surely come along with varying numbers.  It is wise to scrutinize carefully the question asked in the survey and make your voting decision after consideration of the reasons to vote no on question 3.
