Rep. Carolyn Dykema Urges No on Question 3

As one of the many gathered at the Massachusetts state house in opposition to the medical marijuana law proposed under Question 3 on the November 6, 2012 ballot, Representative Carolyn Dykema as a legislator and mother of teenage children urges “everyone to stand up and vote against this bill.”

“We need to stand here as the adults voting on this bill and say we will support the success of our children, we will not support this bill which is ill-conceived and does not provide the necessary safeguards that would prevent this drug from getting in the hands of our children, and that will prevent our public safety officials from being even more strapped for resources.”

“Let’s not be fooled, this will mean more marijuana in the hands of our children.”
